Job Description:
The fundamental purpose of this position is to drive revenue growth and manage the sales process of connectivity products through major Canadian Direct Marketer and E-tail accounts and other potential large customers by personal engagement at the Management level and above. The main focus of this position is to grow C2G business through increasing market share and mindshare within the accounts, thereby increasing our opportunities and category share. This position provides the first line of on-site representation to our major customers by conducting promotional activities, floor days, trainings, and product launches. This position will require a high aptitude for developing customer relationships and enhancing the sales process to achieve exceptional customer service. The individual must demonstrate a constant appetite for success and overachievement of financial goals and measurable objectives. The NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER will need to understand forecasting and budgeting within an established territory. This individual will also be instrumental on marketing plans within their customers, leveraging the business strategies to maximize ROI on our marketing dollars spent and deliver on the objectives for this market segment.
- Responsible for the sales and profitable growth within the defined geography or customer territory.
- Utilize established company processes and procedures to qualify, up-sell and cross-sell the full range of connectivity products to all customers in contact
- Work in conjunction with and understand Customer's Marketing functions to ensure effective advertising and presentation of our products in their offering via Websites, Catalogs and other media.
- Work closely with Customers' Senior Management teams to strategize, coordinate, and co-author Sales/Marketing plans best suited to provide mutual sales and category growth for both Cables to Go and our customers
- Visit assigned customers regularly to provide product launches, training and goodwill
- Maintain a working knowledge of the connectivity industry, its products, distribution channels and pricing
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting of information to ensure that both the customer and the Company (its departments, systems, and management) are provided with the information they need to best perform their jobs
- Utilize, provide, develop and maintain the same levels of activities, services and professionalism described above when dealing with any level of customer through any method of contact
- Maintain key business metrics as defined by management
Job Requirements:
- 5 plus years industry and relevant channel knowledge in a customer facing environment within the DMR and E-tail markets
- Successful track record of sales results and relationship building within our customer target base
- Very knowledgeable in the Cooperative Marketing aspect of doing business in a remote and collaborative environment
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
